Unbusy LLC (“Unbusy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit getunbusy.io (the “Site”), sign up for our pilot waitlist, communicate with us by phone or text message, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
We are based in Sioux City, Iowa, and our Services are intended for users located in the United States.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

- Pilot waitlist information: business details voluntarily provided when joining our pilot waitlist

4.1 SMS Opt-In
You opt in to receive SMS messages from Unbusy by one of the following means:
- Submitting your phone number through a form on getunbusy.io with an explicit consent checkbox
- Initiating an SMS conversation by texting an Unbusy-operated number first
- Providing express written consent through another documented channel
We retain records of your opt-in (including timestamp, IP address where applicable, and the consent language shown) as required by carrier regulations.
4.2 Types of SMS Messages
If you opt in, you may receive:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Customer service responses
- Booking-related questions and follow-ups
- Pilot waitlist updates

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Standard message and data rates may apply.
4.3 SMS Opt-Out

4.4 SMS Consent Data — Important Carrier-Required Disclosure
Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent records, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All other categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for any purpose other than the following permitted uses:
- Sharing with subprocessors strictly necessary to deliver the messaging service (e.g., Twilio for message transmission)

This non-sharing commitment applies regardless of any other provision in this Privacy Policy.
5. How We Share Information
Outside of SMS consent data (which has special protections described in Section 4.4), we may share other categories of information in the following limited circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Services. These include Twilio (SMS and telephony infrastructure), hosting and infrastructure providers, and email service providers. Service providers are contractually required to use information only for the purposes we authorize.
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws, protect the rights, safety, or property of Unbusy, our users, or the public, or investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or other illegal activity.

If Unbusy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of business assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may share information for any other purpose with your express consent.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.

SMS opt-in records are retained as required by carrier regulations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our internal retention policies.
